Hi, I’m Jamie!

Yep, I’m the dietitian who decided to have weight loss surgery. Sounds kinda crazy, right? I mean, when you think of a dietitian, you probably don’t picture someone opting for surgery to lose weight. And believe me, I get it.

I had my VSG in 2017, and to say WLS changed my life would be an understatement. I’m a completely different person these days, but that didn’t happen from the surgery alone. Yes, the surgery propelled me forward with my weight loss, but it took a lot of hard work to lose 130+ lbs and truly heal my relationship with food and my body.

I’ve seen the ups and downs on this journey. Over the last 6+ years I’ve struggled with stalls, regain, and my mental health. Nothing about this has been easy.

Between my education, my personal experiences on this journey, and my professional experiences working with 1000’s of weight loss surgery patients over the years, I’ve been able to master what I call my Bariatric Breakthrough ® Method.
